What's Up Cupcake?

I love this set from My Favorite Things, just super cute and fun to use. I die cut and embossed the image and the mat with oval nesties.

I was tagged by Lynn, thanks for thinking about me, Lynn. Here are seven random things about me:

1. I love sweets! I would eat dessert first if it were socially acceptable.

2. I am very organized, I believe everything has its place. In fact, you could open my purse and I could give you the order of everything in it. The men in my life do not believe in this philosophy, however, and things are constantly misplaced.

3. I despise country music, I am the only one in my family that doesn't listen to it.

4. I was in a commercial when I was a baby. It was for Adventureland Amusement Park in Illinois. It was one of those that they set a camera up and folks would stroll past. I was only 9 months old and was asleep on my aunt's shoulder, but they caught us about 4 times.

5. We are saving to go out west for vacation within the next two years. It has been Duke's dream vacation for as long as I have known him. I want to go to New York City one of these days as well.

6. You have to have a 4-wheel drive to get up my driveway, we have a very steeply graded road.

7. I love most italian and mediterranean food, I think I must have been mediterranean in another life.

Superhero Cards

ETA: For those of you that were notified about being tagged, it happens in my post for tomorrow.
My friend's boys are having a superhero party next month, so I made and sent these cards instead of the ones I made previously. Pretty simple, but lots of colors. Her boys are going to be 3 and 5 this year.

It felt really great to create today, it feels like it has been forever. I used a variety of stamps including Pink Cat Studio, Paper Trey Ink, and Verve Visual. Both images colored with copics. I will accent the boots and gloves with Diamond Glaze.

We are just planning to relax today, we have a big week ahead. Next weekend is the 4th and we have been invited to a few parties to celebrate.

Balloonabella in Pink

This uses some papers I purchased at Target some time ago, it's pretty bold! It also uses a previous SFYTT from Jen's blog.

Our picnic was so much fun, we even had fireworks at the end of the night. Each of the kiddies got 2 sparklers each and some water balloons. Most of the parents were soaked, but I escaped the barrage because I came straight from work so I was still dressed in business attire. Whew!

My first week of work is over and I am happy to have the weekend off. I have learned alot and hope to become a little more useful over the coming days and weeks.

Blingy Birthday

Another card I made some time ago and haven't shared yet. I made a bunch for this purpose and am so glad that I did. I haven't had much time to create lately, but hope to find time this weekend.

Woo Hoo, it's Friday! We have Cody's team picnic tonight at his school, it promises to be lots of fun. I just hope I have enough energy to run bases.

Berry Mums

I made this some time ago and never posted it. It uses PTI Garden of Life, I just adore that set.

Well, our phone is repaired, but the storms have knocked the power out. It just never ends!

My new job just keeps getting better and I hope it continues that way. I met the owner of the company today as he was in the office for meetings with the big shots. Our parent company is Jones Media and they own several newpapers and our publications. The publication that I work for is the Best Read Guide, it is a publication centered around tourism. I don't have time to link the website, but it is easy enough to find.

No Phones

ETA: Our line cannot be fixed until tomorrow. So, I'll upload some things tomorrow after work.
The telephone company installed phone lines for our new neighbor and seemingly disconnected ours. So, since I am banished to use dial-up, I have nothing to share today. Sorry! Hopefully, the phones will be up later today and I can post tonight.

A Stamped T-Shirt

Ok, so blogger was being a pain last night and I wasn't able to post on some blogs, I'll try again tonight.

My first day at work went great, except I started running out of steam around 3:00 p.m. ( a time I am used to taking a little siesta!) I did not end up with the job they offered me but instead I am the assistant to the Director of Sales. (Official title is Customer Service Representative) I spent the day in meetings and getting familiar with the company and trying to comprehend what they have planned for me. He may be under the impression that I am super woman or something! LOL Anyway, in my opinion, this job has lots more potential and I am thrilled to have been so sought after.

I made this to send to my friend since I neglected to give her a gift for Mother's Day. I love how colorful it is. Of course, the idea for this is not my own, but that of Nichole Heady. I am certain that you all read her blog and are as inspired by her as I am.

Anyway, I used all PTI stamps from about 3 different sets and Palette inks, except the black which is Brilliance. I just heat set it once it was completed, just to be sure. I'll be sending this with a shirt for her hubby and gifts for her little ones later in the week. It'll be a happy mail day when this package arrives, gifts for the whole family!

You can see how vibrant the colors are and see the detail of the stamp. I sure hope it fits!

Cody's day with the sitter was a little traumatic as her youngest son was a bit of a terror. Hopefully, he gets plenty of rest and is in a better mood tomorrow.

Evan's Birthday Wishes & Something from Allison

I made this card for my friend's son, his brother's is on the post below. They both have birthdays in July. I used Cowboy Billy for this card, those images are so fun to color. The sentiment is from the PTI Anniversary set named Simple Little Things. Now, I just have to pick up a little something to send to them before their birthdays.

Here is the prize package I got from Allison for participating in her challenge, I was lucky enough to have my name drawn! Fun images, luscious ribbons, flowers and dew drops, a stamp set, and a note pad with those adorable owls. Plus, a great card with wonderfully kind words inside. Thanks Allison, I can hardly wait to have fun with all these new goodies.

The weekend was great. I was glad to get some rest before I started work. Although it was nice to have some time off, I really am happy to be working again. I want to be one of those moms that is content staying home, but I'm just not. I love spending time with my boy, don't get me wrong, I just feel more productive outside the home. Strange, I know.

Hoppy Birthday & More Clips

This is for one of the son's of my BFF, both her boys have a birthday next month. I'll have another to make using these fab Billy images. I just can't put these stamps down.

Ok, so I start my job tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting started. My last job was just part-time and this is a full-time position, so I'll have a period of adjustment. I am hoping that I can catch up with all my blog reading after dinner every night, so if you don't hear from me each day, I promise that you will eventually. Bear with me during this beginning phase.

I made a OSW using images from Dress Up Billy from Pink Cat Studio, then cut them up to use in the clips. A set of these will be going to the parents at our picnic on Friday. Hopefully, they will use them and appreciate them; I depleted my stash to make them. LOL I just hope I can find some more.

I am going to have to get started making the invites for Cody's party, it won't be long. I can hardly believe my baby will be seven. The time flies!

Saffron Dreams

Trying to get geared up for my first week at work; it's gonna be hard to get out of bed early since I am soooo used to sleeping in a little bit. But, it sure will be nice to be making some money again.

We are planning to have Cody's birthday party at Nascar Speed Park the first Saturday in August. He, of course, is thrilled to pieces. He gets to invite 10 children to join in the festivities with him so I am selectively assembling the guest list.

I am hoping to carve some time out today to start the coaches t-shirts. I will use Dress Up Billy from Pink Cat Studio for the project. They have been coaching for 8 years and just don't need more pictures and plaques, so this will be a nice little something that still shows my appreciation for what they do.

All For You

This card uses Jen's Sketch For You To Try, at least somewhat. It sorta missed the mark, but it works, I suppose.

The game was great and it was nice to see my brother and his family. Victoria (Tori) was great in the game and she runs as quickly as her little, short legs will carry her. She even chased a few of the players down to try ot get them out. Too cute!!

The pizza party was pretty enjoyable too even if the kids were a little loud. We are having a team cookout next Friday where the parents will challenge the kids to a game and then the banquet on the 10th at the stadium, so that gives the boy something to look forward to.

Duke and I finally went shopping for new tennies yesterday. We each got a pair, although he likes mine more than his. I have a feeling he'll be trying to snag mine to wear. He has small feet and mine are huge, so we are able to swap out sometimes, although it's usually him that wins out on that arrangement.

Cody spent the night at a friend's house (also my sitter's son) on Wednesday night, the first time we have ever allowed such a thing to happen. It went well and he is all excited to do it again; not gonna happen too soon however. It felt so strange for the house to be quiet; not sure why it seemed so different than him being at school all day, but it did.

Dug Out Rewards

I made these for the dug out mom and dads for all their hard work during the season. They kept the kids safe, hydrated, and pumped up. I, again, used Billy and added Lily from Pink Cat Studio and the frames from Target. Super handy to have around.

Later today is our last t-ball game which will be followed promptly by a pizza party. The kids will have a great time and it is a fun way to end the season. I hope Cody can get on this team next year because they did a great job keeping him excited about the game and praised him endlessly for improving so much.

Bullfrog Cody

I got an order from Pink Cat Studios yesterday...super fast since it shipped from Canada on Friday. Yippee!!! I paid the dollar extra to have Cody's name put on the label and he is all excited to be stamping himself! I love it. Anyway, I got Lily, Billy, and Dress Up Billy, er, Cody. Here is my first card using 'Cody' with the bullfrog image. I will probably stamp up a bunch of cards to share, hope you don't get sick of seeing these images. Gotta get a bunch ready since I start work next week and crafting time will be limited thereafter.

I can hardly wait to get a paycheck, there are PTI, Lockhart, and Whipper Snapper stamps calling my name; not to mention nesties and cardstock.

Cupcake is regressing; she has been barking to high heaven and attempting to potty in the house. I think it's because we have been leaving her to go grocery shopping, games, practice, etc. She whines the entire time and I believe she gets mad at us.

Team pictures were taken last night, hopefully they turn out well. Cody is not the best at smiling on cue, he often looks strained and frightened. We gave a small gift to the dug-out dads/ mom too, since one of them won't be attending the final game. They loved them! I will share them with you tomorrow.

Suggestive Flowers

This is for Allison's Suggestive Sunday challenge, this week it is to use flowers. I almost always have flowers on my cards, so this was an easy one for me.

I wanted it to look like it was raining flowers. The only other thing that I did to this card after the photo was to add stickles to the red rose and the centers of some of the smaller flowers.

Slow, easy day today...then a t-ball game early in the evening. We are taking the boy and a few of his friends swimming in the pool where Duke works today. I'm not so sure this is the smartest decision we have ever made, but the kids will have a blast.

I think we will be heading to Dollywood on Thursday as one final hurrah before I start working and only have the weekends off. I would not go there on the weekend, way too crowded. But, during the week, it shouldn't be as bad. Cody has never been so it will be a fun experience for him. He's already been planning where he is going to spend his time.

Simple Cards

I made these on Saturday morning, there are two of each color. I got the inspiration from the cards that Jenn D RAK'd me with some time ago. These are super simple and lovely, they are great for most occasions, and the best part is that they only took moments to create.

Dinner was great yesterday, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the weather was really nice. I marinated the steaks and then put them on the grill along with the corn on the cob. The corn was wrapped with foil after dressing them with butter, mayo, and parmesan cheese; sounds like an unusual combination, but it is delicious. Then, I made loaded baked potatoes and a great garden salad with homemade croutons and salad dressing. Finally, a berry pie with cool whip and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

I am trying to get the house cleaned up after the mess of three guys. How in the world do they make such a mess? I still have laundry to do and then just maintenance through the week.

You're Too Kind

This card is based on a sketch from Taylored Expessions, it is not terribly recent however.

I ended up getting nails and a pedicure Saturday; I feel like a woman again! LOL It's amazing what a little nail polish can do, isn't it?!

Cody's game was cancelled yesterday, unfortunately we were already at the ball field and didn't get the call. I think they are getting team pictures Monday before their game.

I haven't stamped much for the last few days. I want to get in there to create, but everything else seems to be taking up my time.

We rented some movies and I hope to find a little time to watch them. We get to keep them for 5 days, so there is some hope for us.

Duke's oldest son is coming over for dinner tonight, then maybe we're going to see a movie. Should be pretty fun as it is always nice to see him.

Bee Berry Happy

I think this is a Mojo Monday challenge of the past. I love this layout and will likely use it alot more.

I am going later to get a mani/ pedi before I start work, my fingers and toes are a mess! LOL I love getting pampered, especially pedis.

I am loving all the Paper Trey sneak peeks and am going to be broke this month, everything looks fabulous and I must have it. I am especially drawn to the Gridlines set, looks fab!

We are planning a small dinner for Duke and his brother tomorrow to celebrate Father's Day. Duke will have to work later that night anyway, so small is best.

The t-ball season ends on Thursday with a game against my niece's team; Cody is ecstatic to be playing against her. Of course, he will probably have to be scolded about talking to the 'enemy' a time or two.

A Cute Baby Dress

Hooray! They called me at 3:30 p.m. yesterday and offered me the job. I wasn't supposed to find out until Friday, so it was quite nice not to have to worry about it another second. I start on the 23rd of this month.
I made a few of these cards to give to the person that was training me the other day. The person who gets chosen will be taking over her job while she is out on maternity leave. She is having a baby girl soon and I knew she could use these cards. Is it too busy?? Plus, it was a good way to get some brownie points! *wink*

The yard and house are looking so much better since Duke has been doing some clean up. Not that we are messy people, but sometimes he is a little lax in doing yard work. It is nice to have it looking tidy again.

Cody has been going to VBS for a few days and is having a blast. They did slip & slide for the last two days, he made a sand castle from shaving cream, and a whole slew of other things. He loves being around other kids, and it's a good way to have some quiet time for myself.

Well, time to get ready for some more laundry and mending duties. Duke has split two pairs of shorts right down the middle, I don't know how he does it!

Sweet Berries

The job trial went so well yesterday, thanks to all of you that sent me the good thoughts and prayers. I should know something on Friday and was assured that it is between me and one other. So, I have a pretty good chance of obtaining the coveted position. Thanks again for your support.

These are a grouping of cards I did to have on hand for fun, happy occasions. I used very bright, happy, fun colors and an adorable image from Paper Trey.

Cody has two more games this week and we will likely be taking him swimming at Duke's place of business today. They allow the employees and their families use the facilities as long as the paying guests are having fun!

His banquet is the 10th of July and we have raised more than $1700.00 to cover the cost of each family to attend the Smokies Game, major big time fun for us all.

Storms blew through here yesterday and brought with them strong winds and hail. We don't have any damage but will be checking with our neighbors to see if they were as lucky.

I will be trying to catch up with all my favorite blogs today and tomorrow, I have missed looking around.

Vellum Box

This was made for Allison's Suggestive Sunday in which she challenged us to make a bag or box. I chose this box, I believe I saw it on Lauren Meader's blog, that girl is totally awesome!

Anyway, I will be putting some Goldfish in it.

It's a very simple box and perfect some small snacks or small gift. I will be doing something similar for the kiddies on Cody's team for the end of the year. I just have to find a cute baseball stamp or something.

I got a few packs of bright colored vellum for .70 at HL forever ago.

We are ready to see The Incredible Hulk this weekend! It looks pretty good, plus it has Edward Norton in it. We still haven't seen Ironman, can you believe it?!

I am finding socks in unusual places, under the bag of dog food, in his pencil box, etc. I may get all twenty pair back if I keep looking in odd places! LOL

Keep your fingers crossed for me today!

Weekend Sketch Challenge

All those well wishes and prayers worked! The company I interviewed with called me yesterday and I have a "trial run" for the job I want on Wednesday. Pray that they love me and decide that they can't live without me!! I really want them to offer me the job, it's just perfect for me.

This is a very simple card, so again, I'll skip the details. The image is one of my favorites, you gotta love an adorable monkey.

Cody has his first of four games tonight. He only gets a break from playing on Wednesday. He is thrilled! Pray it doesn't rain us out tonight, we have tons of food for the concession stand.

Duke has been pressure cleaning the deck and we hope it comes clean. The raccoons that visit bring mud and gunk with them and the deck looks deplorable. Once he gets it clean, we'll be putting some Thompson's Water Seal on it. Hopefully, that will prevent some of this in the future. I have doubts because we had the wood sealed prior to this anyway.

Cupcake is still doing fine and we have finally gotten her house broken. Of course, she tinkles a bit when she's excited, but I can live with it and figure she will eventually outgrow it.

I made some cookies last night and the boys have them almost gone. Of course, nothing really lasts a long time around here. We do like to eat.

SFYTT Embrace Life

This sketch is this week's Jen's SFYTT. I thought it was rather unique and got right to work on Saturday. I have used several of her sketches, but always forget to post them.

The base is PTI Kraft cardstock, I used Always Artichoke ink and stamped the branches from SU! Embrace Life.

The next layer is Chocolate Chip and I again stamped the branches with Chocolate Chip ink.

I used the Threading Water border punch on the Close to Cocoa cardstock, then adhere the strip of dp from DCWV. The ribbon is from Offray and I just secured it in the back of the panel.

The Always Artichoke cardstock was die cut with oval nestabilities and adhered to the Chocolate Chip panel. Then the Close to Cocoa panel was added.

The image is from the same set and was stamped onto ivory cardstock. I colored it with an inkpad and blender pen, then heavily sponged it. It has been matted with Kraft and then adhered with foam squares.

Hot and humid day here in Tennessee. We are trying to stay cool and get some work done around the house. I have been needing to clean the bathrooms and vacuum for a few days and never seemed to get up off my lazy behind to do it. I enjoy cleaning most days, just haven't been in the mood, I guess. Of course, the cleaning never ends with two boys in the house, so maybe that's what it is.

We have been also searching the house over for Cody's socks. He had about 20 pair and when I did the wash, he only has four pair accounted for. I have no idea what could have happened to them all, but the boy leaves a trail of clothes wherever they land when he walks through the door. I ended up finding two more pair in between the cushions of the sofa and under the recliner. Let's hope I can find some more.

A Cupcake Challenge with no Cupcakes

This card uses the sketch from Taylored Expressions for this week as well as many of the papers from my post yesterday.

I used Lemon Tart for my card base. The Bashful Blue cardstock was punched with Fiskars Threading Water punch. I then adhered the strip of dp from DCWV and Berry Sorbet after I used the Mat Pack to pierce holes on either side. I then stamped the sentiment from Garden of Life with Brilliance Graphite Black ink.

The image panel was die cut with Nestabilities as were the mats. I stamped the rose from Garden of Life with Bashful Blue ink, the leaves with Certainly Celery ink. Then I slathered them with Diamond Stickles for tons of sparkle. Once dry, the image was matted with Bashful Blue and Pale Plum cardstock. I used the CAD to punch a hole to thread the ribbon through. The light blue ribbon is then accessorized with green ricrac. I adhered it to the card front with foam squares.

Lastly, I added the Daffodil Dew Drops.

We had a great lazy day yesterday, it started raining around 1 p.m., so not lots to do but watch tv, play games, and craft. We were going to go to the school to use the playground equipment, but it rained before we could. Cody has 4 games next week and his last game is the 19th. I have enjoyed watching him play, but will be happy when the season is over. We have our banquet on July 10th at Smokies Stadum and the kiddies will be showered with lots of fun stuff with all the money we have raised working the concession stands.

Sweet as Honey

I used Lavender Moon as my card base. I used the Bloom Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the Lemon Tart panel.

I used my new Fiskars Threading Water punch for the Bashful Blue scallops. The dp from DCWV (love it and this is part of my last sheet), I adhered these two pieces together and added them to the Lemon Tart panel.

I tied the Lavender Moon twill ribbon around the entire panel and then secured the knot with a small glue dot.

I used Nestabilities to die cut the scallop circle and its plain Wild Wasabi mat. The image is from PTI Honey Bees and is stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black and Lavender Moon inks. I then adhered the image panel with small foam squares.

The sentiment is from the same set and is cut out with the large oval punch from SU!. Lastly, I punched the small flowers using a punch from EK Success out of Bashful Blue and placed them on the sentiment and image panel as well as the lower right corner. I used rhinestones from The Paper Studio for their centers.

We got to see Kung Fu Panda yesterday afternoon. We took Cody's little friend, Deuce. Yep, that's his real name. It is a cute little movie with lots of cool effects and a terrfic story line. Cody is fired up to see it again already.

I appreciate all the well wishes for the job, but I didn't get a call yesterday either, so I guess they went with someone else. It's ok, I'll find something and hopefully it'll be better.

A Father's Day Card

Thanks for all the well wishes for the job I am seeking. I did not hear back from them yesterday, so I am praying that it doesn't mean that I am not in consideration. However, I still hope that I hear from them today.
The card base is Going Gray; I then matted the dp from DCWV with Basic Gray after using the ticket corner punch on each corner.

I used another strip of Basic Gray in the middle of the card, using the Mat Pack to help me space and pierce the holes for the black brads. I stamped the sentiment with Ruby Red ink.

The image is from a clear stamp set from EK Success, which remarkably stamps very well and delivers a crisp image despite its very low price.

I colored the image with copics and then mounted it on Basic Black after using the ticket corner punch on each corner. The image panel was affixed with foam squares.

Cody and I cleaned up the cars yesterday morning before the heat set in. We just needed to vacuum them out, which I became too tired to do. I'l finish it in the morning.

We had to cut our game short yesterday due to the heat, it was over 95 degrees and one of the kids was getting sick. It was far too hot to be out there.

I think I might take the boy to see Kung Fu Panda sometime today, it looks like a really fun movie.

Many Happy Returns

This card is quite simple, so I will skip all the la ti da. But I will tell you that it is one of my favorite cards that I have made.

I had a job interview yesterday and I think it went well. I was there for about 2 hours, talking to all the big shots and got a pretty good feel for the environment and some of the folks I'd be working for. I like it there already, plus the pay was exactly what I was looking for. I'm hoping to get a call to schedule a "test run"; a day in which you work BEFORE being hired to make sure you are a good fit and to ensure that you can handle it. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

While I was in the area, I stopped at a LSS and found a Threading Water punch by Fiskars! Yippee!! They said they just got them in the day before, how lucky was that?! Guess everybody does want one. LOL I can hardly wait to use it.

Duke and Cody spent alot of time outside yesterday cleaning up around the house and doing some things that needed to be done, like hauling off old lumber, moving things out of the way and pressure cleaning our deck. He has lots more to do this morning, I just pray it stays cooler a bit longer. It was in the low to mid 90's here yesterday and can expect more of the same today. The bad thing is that Cupcake has to go to the vet and Cody has a ball game. I sure hope it cools down by then.

Hippity Hop

This is Mojo Monday sketch #40; a very challenging one. I used PTI Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, and Kraft cardsstock as well as SU! Apricot Appeal. I used PTI Polka Dot Basics for the Apricot and Spring Moss panels.

I die cut the large plain and scalloped circle with Nestabilities. The images are from PTI Pond Life and are simply adorable. The frog and lily pad were stamped with Always Artichoke and then sponged with Aqua Mist; I then added the splashes of water.

The smaller circles were punched with punches from EK Success; I then stamped the goldfish with Apricot Appeal, the bubbles with Aqua Mist, and then sponged it with Aqua Mist.

The strip of Spring Moss was scalloped using a corner rounder. Once all the flat pieces were affixed to the Aqua Mist panel, I tied the Aqua Mist satin ribbon around it and adhered it to the card front.

The large image was adhered flat to the panel and the smaller image was adhered with foam squares.

The sentiment was stamped with Aqua Mist and, finally, I added the faux dew drops.

Practice went well last night; I decided to take Cupcake with us. She loved all the attention let me tell you. I'm sure glad she loves kids.

Duke's Father's Day Card

I made this to match the gift I made for Duke using PTI Father Knows Best. You can see his gift here.

I started with Mellow Moss cardstock as my base. I punched circles out of dp from DCWV and from Old Olive cardstock.

The image was stamped on ivory cardstock with Adirondack Espresso ink, then colored with copics. I then used a candle lighter to burn the edges as per the challenge from Allison. (Man, the soot/ ash gets everywhere!) The image was matted on PTI Kraft cardstock and I then added a strip of dp. I then pierced holes for the chocolate brads.

Before the image was adhered I added the circles to the back of the image mat and then adhered to the card front.

Lastly, I added the sentiments on the inside and outside with Mellow Moss ink.

Our game was cancelled because the other team did not have enough players, which really threw a wrench in our concession stand plans. Remarkably, we did well with the folks attending the game before ours and the help of friends of the folks on our team. Then, the parents challenged the kids to a ball game. They wiped the floor with us, we're too old and slow, I suppose. LOL It was fun and the kids had a great time after all.

Dragonfly Grass

This is a Mojo Monday sketch, just not sure which one. I started with PTI Kraft cardstock as my base.

I added the Lemon Tart square on the upper left of the card. The images from Honey Bees were stamped with SU! Wild Wasabi, SU!Almost Amethyst , and PTI Lemon Tart inks. I then used stickles on the flowers.

The dragonfly was stamped with Certainly Celery and Adirondack Pitch Black ink. Again, I used stickles on the dragonfly wings. I then matted the image with Wild Wasabi cardstock. I used a strip of Certainly Celery on the side of the image.

I then tied the Lemon Tart twill ribbon around the entire panel and adhered it to the card front. The sentiment from PTI Pond Life was stamped with Adirondack Pitch Black. Lastly, 3 Daffodil dew drops were added to the upper right hand corner.

Today is the t-ball game in which we have to man the concession stand; hope we can get set up quickly and sell a bunch of stuff.

Cupcake continues to do well and is adjusting well to her new surroundings.

Father Knows Best

I got this trio of picture frames from Target some time ago- CHEAP! All three in a set for $2.50.

The tree from PTI Father Knows Best was stamped with Adirondack Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I colored each tree in with copics. I did one tree in greens to represent spring and one in fall colors. The center sentiment is from the same set; also stamped in Adirondack Espresso ink. I then used the small set of leaves from the set for the corners.

I will be giving these to Duke for Father's Day. I hope we can find room on the walls to hang them. I am thinking of buying some very wide ribbon and then making a vertical hanger for them. I still have plenty of time.

Here is a picture of the newest addition to our family, Cupcake. Cody and I picked her up today from the Animal Shelter. Before we picked her up, we stopped at Wal-Mart to get dog food, a collar, and other things we needed. The collar we got her has little cupcakes all over it, too cute. I don't think Cody was set on this name until we found the collar. She responded to the name immediately. So far, she seems to like it here and is following Cody around; it is so cute. She does not like the raccoons that come around, she just spent the better part of 10 minutes barking at them. Poor Duke hasn't gotten any sleep today with all the excitement.

I will be baking some cookies later today for the t-ball concession stand fundraiser. I am trying to diet, so getting this stuff out of the house is a great idea. But, having it right in front of me is a bad, bad idea.
